Bargains.org is an advertising free site that does not sell placements on its search engine. In addition, the site makes special efforts to ensure that the information is straightforward, not misleading and covers the broadest array of products possible. Bargains.org was created by the Center for the Study of Services (CSS), a non-profit consumer information publisher and research organization (publisher of Checkbook magazine). Founded in 1974, its mission is to provide consumer with objective evaluative information to help them make better decisions in the marketplace. CFA believes that Bargains.org overcomes many of the problems inherent in Internet price shopping services.

Live chat is ANVIL L's conferencing and tutoring tool. It works similarly to other web-based chat software with the important exception that it is advertising free and designed for audio and video chats as well as text. Access is restricted—only registered course participants can access the chat function. Once an instructor creates chat rooms for his/her class, students can use them for text, audio, and/or video chats. Up to four people can chat at once (network bandwidth is a consideration for video). Our initial release of Live chat is especially useful for those students and language programs which make use of native speaking tutors, or conversation partners. Only in this case the tutor can be anywhere provided they have an Internet connection.
